Within One's Reach is the second Pokemon one-shot written by Burnt Flower, which is a prequel of sorts from the one-shots A Life's Worth and Contaminated Freedom. It tells the dramatic story of Oliver, a street-savvy kid who holds great jealousy and hatred for those who are more fortunate than he is. It was first posted in Serebiiforums on 2004, though it was later posted in Fanfiction.net.
This one-shot was created after the unexpected popularity of A Life's Worth. Even though the reviews for the most part were positive, this is the least popular one-shot of the author Burnt Flower.
