Sceptile is usually more friendly and reserve compared Ash's Sceptile it shown to a bit inexperience in battling when it was a Treecko as shown where it was defeat easily during a gym battle against Roxanne however Treecko gained more determination to get stronger allowing it to evolve into Grovyle and has gain more confidence in battle.
