Skarfey (クサコドモ (Kusakodomo)) is one of the fictional species of Pokémon creatures to appear in a series by Cascade Gonpory. The purpose of Skarfey in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.

It is the grass starter for the Edaskia region.

Biological Characteristics

Skarfey's design is solely based upon a Joey Kangaroo. Skarfey also has a scarf around it's neck to keep it warm from the freezing climates of Edaskia's snowy valleys. It's limbs are said to resemble Plants.

Skarfey's very flexible body gives an illusion of some sort of plant. It is also a mammal that is known to use photosynthesis.

In the video games

None as of yet.

Fake Trading Card Game

Skarfey appears once in the first set of WHITE RAIN and SHINING GARDEN as card 493A, and also appears as a promo card in the WHITE RAIN Entry pack.

Skarfey is the first grass starter to feature in the White Rain Pokédex, and the first to be non-reptilian or non-dinosaurid. Skarfey was also orginally designed as a Fighting Starter in it's beta form.

Its name is a pormanteux of skarf and joey, a young kangaroo/wallaby.
