Malva (Japanese: パキラ Pachira) is a recurring character in Pokémon Resurgence. She is a member of the Kalos Elite Four. She is also a news reporter for the Holo Caster and a former member of Team Flare. She is a Master Fire-type Trainer.
History[]

She appears many times reporting the news.
She appeared again in RXY125, where she was shown broadcasting from the Lumiose Conference. Then after Ashe caught her eye, she went to interview her. She reappeared in RXY126, where she continued to report on what had recently happened and was happening in the Conference.
She reappeared in RXY127 and RXY128, where she was seen watching Ashe and Barry's battle.
She reappeared in RXY129, where she interrupted Alain, who was training for his upcoming battle against Ash in the final battle of the Conference, and had a conversation with him. After the conversation, she walked away and scolded Team Rocket. She was later seen with Team Rocket, watching Ash and Alain walking towards each of their respective sides of the battlefield for the aforementioned battle.
She appeared again in RXY130, where she watched the beginning of Ashe and Alain's battle in the final round of the Lumiose Conference; and again in RXY131, where she watched the end of the battle.
She reappeared in A Towering Takeover!.
She appeared again in RXY134, where she turns against Lysandre. She admitted that while she was not satisfied with the world as it was now, watching Alain and Ashe inspired her and convinced her that as long as they, the adults, were able to teach the younger generation to lend a helping hand, the future is therefore worth fighting for. Lysandre merely rebuffed her and told her that if it was her decision, she should perish along with Ashe and Alain. Later on, Malva was visibly impressed by Ashe when she lectured Lysandre on why the current world is worth fighting for.
She appeared again in RXY135 and RXY136. Malva promised Steven Stone that she would deal with the remaining Team Flare members and then turn herself in.
She appeared again in Till We Compete Again!.
Mega Evolution Specials[]
Malva first appeared in-person in Mega Evolution Special IV. While Alain was about to begin his challenge with ten Mega Evolution Trainers, Malva questioned Lysandre on whether Alain would win with Lysandre responding that they should see. Malva then observed Alain during his battles with the Trainers Lysandre recruited and his interaction with Mairin.
After Alain defeated nine Trainers, Malva entered the field as the final Trainer that Alain had to face. Alain immediately recognized her as a member of the Elite Four while Malva had heard about Alain's loss to Siebold, another Elite Four member, earlier on. Both of the Trainers began their battle, pitting Charizard versus her Houndoom. Although Malva put up a good fight, Alain finally emerged victorious with his Charizard's Blast Burn.

Malva has slightly tanned skin and pink hair with a ponytail and curls on her shoulders. Her eyes are hidden behind a pair of red-shaded sunglasses. She wears a black turtleneck that cuts of at the navel and red and black jeans with several diamond shaped cut outs at the front revealing some parts of her legs, as well as black high-heeled shoes.
Personality[]
Malva is a passionate person, who tries to persuade people, hence why she is also a TV news reporter. Malva is also ruthless in battle, pushing her Pokémon in offense to attack her opponents.
Malva was shown to have a close relationship with Lysandre. However, after witnessing how much Ashe and Alain wanted to protect everyone from Lysandre's plan, her relationship with him ended and she decided to join them in their battle.

- Malva is the only member of the Elite Four to be a member of a villainous team in the anime.
- Malva is the second member of the Elite Four in the anime to have lost on-screen against a Trainer that is neither another Elite Four member or a Champion. The first was Flint when he battled Ashe.
