Robert Hoffer (Japanese: ロバート Robert) is the main character of the Pokémon anime "NOW!" Series.Robert is based on the main character of Pokémon Emerald and Ruby Versions, Brendan. He is a Trainer/Coordanator. His friends are Chris, Nick, Shea, Manny, Abby and new travel partners Lovrina and Cilan. So far, Robert has 10 Pokemon in the Unova region. He has 3 badges in the Unova.

His philosophy is that Pokémon are individuals and that a combination of trust, friendship and hard work are needed to overcome the toughest of challenges. The Pokémon that Robert acquire tend to be cute like his starter, Piplup. He is willing to work with any Pokémon that comes into his care. Robert tends to battle in a fairly unorthodox manner as well, and his Pokémon often reflect this.

note during his time in Unova his Pokemon were capture and he switched the ones he has to (Ivysaur, Sudowoodo, Delcatty, Lopunny, Houndoom & Mamoswine)

Robert's team so far are in Rotation. mostly his Tranquill, Pansear and Scraggy.
Robert so far stopped his rotation only while he's on Route 4, leaving Scraggy and Honchkrow in his team.
Robert's team so far has changed once again as he has Sandile, Scraggy and Timburr.

Sudowoodo was revealed when Robert used him the Contests, Sudowoodo is strong and one of Robert's powerful Pokemon. it was sent back to the lab when Robert reorganized his Party.
Ivysaur has been revealed to be more stronger and not scared easily, but he is still one of the kindest.
Beautifly made a appearance in Johto when Robert visited, but is now helping the towns green house thus not making a real appearance but still confirmed.
Delcatty is seen in the new special travels to Orre, She has been confirmed to be at the lab and makes a appearance when Robert visits.
Whiscash is revealed to be helping prevent earthquake which is revealed he is more mature, unlike Beautifly he makes an appearance to actually show up.
Vaporeon is sent to the lab after he reorganized his party.
Togetic is sent back when he entered the Contests but never came back?
Politoed was sent back to the lab when Robert entered the Unova.
Loppuny was sent back to the lab when Robert entered the Unova.
Totodile was sent back to the lab when Robert entered the Unova.

Mamoswine was sent to the lab when Robert started the Unova with only Cacnea and Prinplup (Piplup).
Pansear was sent back to the lab when Robert was on route 4 and the resort.
Meguroko was also sent back when Pansear was sent back.
Honchkrow was sent back to the lab when he entered the City.
Robert as of right now usually switches between Scraggy, Tranquill, Pansear and Sandile.

Swinub: Was released before the smart contest, but came back and evolved into Piloswine and won the smart ribbon.
Honchkrow:Was relesed in johto when danger was hurting the Murkrow, So Robert released Honchkrow to fight and save/protect the forest.
Chillarmy Was released due to wanting to be in the wild and train there.
