The grunts of Team Enigma are on the lowest level of authority. Though they are often considered weak, they are actually very skilled at different occupations and appear in various places to do the dirty work for Team Enigma. They use different Pokemon, particularly Dark dual-types.

The standard Enigma Grunt is dressed in a black jacket with a hat and black jeans. What Pokemon they use varies from place to place. They are very obedient and serve their admins well.

To keep the grunts in line and deal with any psychological stress, Shardz employed several psychiatrists to work in Team Enigma. They are odd, calm characters who tend to wear business suits and glasses.

A hazmat (hazardous matter) specialist is a grunt employed to enter toxic or potentially dangerous areas and do whatever job the team needs. They wear gas masks and thick gloves.
